Throughout the centuries, the Steen has had many functions, from fortress to prison and from house to museum. After a thorough renovation, the building will soon be transformed into a tourist visitors' center, making it a unique location. If you would you like to enjoy an incredible view over Antwerp, then climb the tower to the roof terrace of the Steen, where you can look out over the river, the city, and the port.
