Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal is the largest Gothic building in the Low Countries and was built over 169 years (1352-1521). The Antwerp Cathedral houses a vast collection of Rubens and other artists' works. After twenty years of restoration, the church now shines again in all its architectural splendor. In the shadow of the Cathedral of Our Lady, life is bustling in the cozy brown pubs and restaurants on the Groenplaats.
