Gásadalur is a hamlet with only a small handful of houses - situated on the island of Vagar. Closed off to the outside world except via day long hike up the mountain - the village was opened up to traffic via the construction of a tunnel through the mountain - which was completed in 2004.
The picturesque Mulafossur waterfall runs from the steep cliffs down into the ocean below - making for a fabulous photograph.
A few of the houses in the village have opened up to sell goods to tourists - such as artwork.
