One of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, Table Top mountain is an iconic and visually stunning and unusual piece of geology. It is easily the most iconic landmark in South Africa, and one of the most photographed backdrops in Cape Town. The famous Aerial Cableway has taken millions of visitors to the top of the mountain, although there are several hiking routes for the brave, including Platteklip Gorge and Indian Venster.

The flat top peak of the mountain reaches 1,086 m above sea level, over as it is located adjacent to the vibrant city and the sea, it looks very imposing.
