The V&A Waterfront is an iconic neighbourhood in Cape Town which welcomes millions of people from all over world. There are a wide variety of attractions and activities to enjoy at the Waterfront, as well as work spaces. From heritage landmarks to more leisurely pursuits, there is something for everyone. The waterfront boasts many world-class restaurants with global cuisines to suit every pocket. For family fun, the Two Oceans Aquarium can be visited, or a leisurely boat ride can be booked on the day for a tour of the harbour. There are a multitude of shops and tourist kiosks, as well as live music and entertainment. To get a good view of the city, the Wheel of Excellence Ferris Wheel can be ridden during the day or at night. There are also several museums and art galleries, as well as pop-up shops and vendors. Day trips to Robben Island are also available, however these should be booked in advance and depart from the Nelson Mandela Gateway.
