Once you visit the Duomo, head to Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, Italy's oldest shopping gallery and another of the city's symbols. Known as Milan's drawing-room, the elegance of the gallery speaks itself. Built in the nineteenth century, the astonishing mosaics embellish the gallery while four-story double arcades house international luxury brand shops. Stroll around and enjoy all the details and sophisticated atmosphere. A curious fashion fact about the gallery relates to the world-famous Italian brand Prada. The first-ever shop for leather goods, was opened by the two brothers Mario and Martino Prada exactly in this gallery. Moreover, it also houses some of the historical cafes and restaurants in the city, such as Camaprino bar. If you want to grab a coffee or have lunch in the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, keep in mind that the prices are very high, and if you are traveling on a budget, it is not your place to dine. However, if you want to include Milan again in your travel plans, don't miss to stop and spin three times on the dancing bull mosaic. Photos: Design Your Italy
