In the morning, on your second day of the fashion itinerary, start with visiting the cultural foundation co-chaired by one of the most influential and talented Italian stylists, Miuccia Prada. Born and raised in Milan, Miuccia founded Fondazione Prada back in 1993 based on the philosophy and ethical principles of the freedom of creative interpretation in different fields such as art, architecture, and cinema. In fact, the exhibition place is a hub, a converted old distillery, where the contemporary finds some of its best expression in the Lombard capital. And when you reach Fondazione Prada to welcome you is the gorgeous bare stone wall covered in 24-karat gold leaf. Stop by and grab a cup of coffee in another Bar Luce. It is another of the outstanding projects of the Prada Group. Designed by the American film director Wes Anderson, the bar recreates the typical elegant atmosphere of the 50s and the 60' Milanese coffee. The palette of pale green and pink colors, the jukebox machines, and the patterned wallpaper all pay homage to the Italian popular culture of the previous century. The cultural institution area is unique of its kind and offers various conception displays ranging from mesmerizing to provocative. The Torre building offers nine floors. Six of them are dedicated to artworks exhibitions, on the last floor, there is a splendid terrace and rooftop bar, while the rest are visitor facilities. One of the most attractive installations in the Torre is the Upside-Down Mushroom Room by Carsten Höller and Tulips by Jeff Koons. The sober architecture of the museum and its total concept embrace the idea that culture is necessary, deeply connected to modern society. But it is also attractive and engaging. You can reach Fondazione Prada getting the yellow metro line and hopping off at Lodi station. Then, with about a 10-minute walk, you'll be at the entrance. The venue of the exhibition area hosts both permanent and temporary installations, so based on what you want to see, the ticket price varies. Photos: Design Your Italy
