Ubud, a town in Bali, is a shopping hub, and you may need to plan ahead if you wish to take home some lovely souvenirs on your trip. Downtown Ubud has a great variety of stalls that sell everything from traditional arts, and crafts work such as paintings, carvings all the way through to stylish clothing pieces. Moreover, whether you still need amazing souvenirs for friends and family back home, or if you're just looking to do a bit of shopping yourself, there are plenty of items on sale at Bali's traditional markets.
Each product is distinct in its own way because it has been handmade by local artisans. You can also immerse into the local atmosphere while meandering through these winding streets that host multiple shops here. The top things to get around town are Art and Antique shopping, which includes lots of trinkets from local handmade crafts stores.
Traditional Ceramic sculptures make a wonderful addition next to the other handmade pottery displayed across walls throughout the downtown area. Surfwear lovers should not miss out on buying bathing suits and other related beach products while they're there too.
Finally, don't forget about local coffee beans, Ubud's main export item, which you might want to stock up your kitchen pantry shelves back at home. You might also love to know that the rarest, most expensive coffee in the world is Kopi Luwak. It's available all around Bali, or you can head over to various cafes for a taste of this special brew.
