As soon as you arrive in Bali, take some time on the beaches near the town of Nusa Dua before heading into central areas like Ubud or Kuta/Seminyak that are popular with tourists. Located south of the capital Denpasar, this seaside retreat is great for exploring the real Indonesia.
Nusa Dua Beach is a picture-perfect destination with clean and well-maintained sand, surrounded by beach retreats, palm trees on one side, mild blue-green water on the opposite. You may either get into water activities like swimming or have a warm sunbath. And if you love clicking pictures, get your camera ready because Nusa Dua Beach's famous Waterblow attraction is quite a picturesque delight.
The impressive spray from the waterfall can reach 100 feet during high tide between July and October. From here, you'll also enjoy a stunning view of the ocean that will unwind all your travel stress. Once you've mastered the first task of your day, it will be time to head south for an equally relaxing experience. Situated half an hour from Waterblow is Uluwatu, which boasts some of the prettiest beaches, bluest waters, and most dramatic cliffs in Bali.
Before checking out the town and relieving yourself for the evening, you must pay a visit to Uluwatu Temple. This is one of Bali's most important attractions, so it would be unwise not to have it on your itinerary.
The Uluwatu Temple perches on the edge of a cliff with beautiful views out to sea, which will transport you into another world. There are lots of monkeys nearby the temple, and the picture gets complete with Bali's famous sunsets that paint the sky in orange hues. You can relish all these for just 30,000 IDR per adult and 15,000 IDR per child. It will be good if you travel around this place in the evening not to miss Kecak Fire Dance in the amphitheater with a breathtaking backdrop of sunsets.
