The Tanah Lot temple is another great spot that is a 25-minute car ride from Canggu. It's built on the crown of a rocky outcrop, which looks like it crashed into the sea. The architecture blends in with its surroundings, offering spectacular views. There are local handicrafts stalls where you can pick up souvenirs or delight in food & drinks to sip in the beauty of the place. Entry ticket costs 60,000 IDR per adult and 30,000 IDR per child, but you'll undoubtedly get your money's worth with its unique location on top of a rocky island surrounded by an ocean so blue that it shines gold at sunset. You may also enjoy the traditional dance performances in the nearby cultural park while you visit this temple. However, please note that you can visit this temple only between 7 am to 7 pm as it is believed that venomous snakes secure this temple from evil spirits after that. Moreover, hanging out with your loved ones over a mouth-watering breakfast or lunch while watching the sunset across the vast ocean will be an unforgettable experience. If you're into photography, the morning or evening is perfect for capturing that golden hour.
