Eat & Drink-Pub Eat & Drink-Restaurant

Just south of the trailhead, in the shadow of Ribblehead Viaduct, is a popular pub. Situated at Ribblehead station, the pub rooms and gardens are often filled with red-faced hillwalkers clasping a pint and swapping stories of their summit up Whernside. The pub really is in the middle of nowhere which is one of the things that makes it so interesting. Inside, there’s a stone fireplace and a comfy seating area. The walls are filled with books and antiques which makes the interior feel like a homely library. It serves big portions and a good selection of local ales.
