At the top of the list of must-see attractions in Beijing is the fabulous Temple of Heaven. Its main temple is magnificent and certainly one of the most stunning buildings to be found in Beijing. A building of great beauty and rare harmony, you can get mesmerised by its enchanting appearance.
In all there are 3 main groups of buildings that make up the Temple of Heaven. The temple itself is found in a large park, with green lawns and many centuries-old cypresses arranged in neat rows. Take your time to enjoy them at your leisure - you will not regret it.
Opening Hours: Daily 06:00 - 20:00
Come earlier in the day to avoid the large crowds, which can accumulate during busier periods.
Look out for the old Beijingers playing Chinese chess and cards.
