Badaling is the busiest and most touristic section of the Great Wall of China. This is because it is the most convenient and economical to reach from Beijing. The Badaling section of the wall that is open to visitors is 7.5 km long and is fully restored. There are a total of 30 watchtowers, 12 in the North and 18 in the South - built Ming style.
