The nature areas around Vancouver are famous for their mountains, rivers, and Douglas fir pine trees. At the Capilano Suspension Bridge, you get to witness all three up-close.
The main feature is a 137-metre-long bridge hanging 70 metres over the Capilano river canyon and skimming the canopies of the surrounding trees. There are multiple walks and sites in the surrounding area. There’s a new cantilevered walkway that is bolted into the granite cliffs above Capilano Canyon.
During the winter there is a light festival in the evenings which causes the coastal rainforest to illuminate and fill the darkness with colour.
