A wilderness sanctuary for the animals of British Columbia. Aims to protect the biodiversity of endangered animals whilst educating and informing the public about the ecology of these species.
It is a place of rehabilitation for orphaned grizzly bears. The refuge currently runs a successful captive breeding programme for the Northern Spotted Owl. The Remarkable Raptors programme is another initiative designed to raise awareness about Canadian birds of prey.
The refuge puts into perspective the wildlife in the surrounding area and helps educate you about what animals are out there.
