Torverhallerne is an open market place located at Nørreport, in central Copenhagen. Opened in 2011, there are 2 adjacent halls with a small outdoor market between them. The outdoor market sells a glorious array of fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables. The halls themselves house over 50 small businesses, including wine bars and small boutique shops selling varied food to eat both in house, and for takeaway. There are shops selling breads, olives, cakes, cheese, fresh fish and meats, wines, chocolates and speciality alcoholic drinks, amongst other things. In the warmer months, there is outside seating for drinking and eating all of the delicious wares. For locals or visitors, Torvehallerne is a great place to visit to unwind with friends, or purchase some interesting produce to indulge yourself with.
