This Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya's collection is divided into centuries and it contains some of the jewels of Spanish and Catalan art, especially from Baroque and Modernist ages. You can pay a quick visit, even if art is not your main interest, and you will not regret it. You still have a lot of free time to enjoy Barcelona, but with some idea of its cultural heritage.
Winter opening times: October to April, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm; Sundays and public holidays, 10am to 3pm.
Summer opening times: May to September, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm; Sundays and public holidays, 10am to 3pm.
Mondays closed, except public holidays. Monday public holidays 2017: April 2nd, May 21st and September 24th.
